Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Ferrier Architecture Studio, LLC collects through this website, why, and the choices and rights you have. We have set the website up to collect as little as possible: there are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies.

Who we are

Ferrier Architecture Studio, LLC (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy (in European terms, we are the “data controller”).

What we collect and why

When you contact us

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write in your message. We use this only to reply to you and, if you ask us to, to discuss or provide our architectural services.

Messages sent through the contact form are not stored on the website. They are delivered to our studio email inbox and kept there.

Legal basis (EEA/UK): our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and, where you ask about a project, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

If you join our mailing list

If you choose to subscribe, we collect your email address (and your name, if you give it) to send you occasional news about our work. We only add you after you confirm your subscription, and every email includes a link to unsubscribe at any time. We will not use your address for anything else or share it with anyone other than Mailchimp, the service that sends our newsletter on our behalf.

Legal basis (EEA/UK): your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.

When you visit the website

Like any website, our server needs your device’s IP address to send you the pages you request. Our web server is configured not to keep visitor logs, and we do not use analytics or advertising tools, so we do not build any record of your visits.

Legal basis (EEA/UK): our legitimate interest in delivering a working, secure website.

Cookies

We do not set any cookies for visitors to this website. Cookies are only used if you log in to the website’s administration area, which is limited to our staff.

Some project pages show videos in an embedded Vimeo player. We have set these players to Vimeo’s “do not track” mode, which stops Vimeo from setting tracking cookies or collecting viewing statistics about you. If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Services that help run the website

To display the website, your browser connects directly to a small number of services, which receive your IP address and basic browser information in the process:

  • DigitalOcean – hosts the website.
  • Vimeo – hosts and streams our videos.
  • Adobe Fonts – supplies the typeface used on the site (Adobe states that it does not use cookies for this).

Our studio email, including contact-form messages, is provided by Google Workspace. If you join our mailing list, your email address is held by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), which sends our newsletter on our behalf. Our sign-up form sends your address directly to Mailchimp only when you submit it.

Links to Google Maps and Instagram only share information with those services if you click them.

Who we share your information with

We only share personal information with the service providers listed above, who act on our behalf, and where the law requires us to. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers store data in the United States and elsewhere. If you contact us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your information will be transferred to the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: two years from our last exchange with you. If your enquiry leads to a project, we keep project correspondence for as long as needed for the project and for our legal and professional record-keeping obligations.
  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Website visits: we do not keep visitor logs.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and you can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time.

If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to restrict or object to our use of your information, to receive it in a portable format, to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting earlier use), and to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident (or live in another U.S. state with a privacy law), you can request access to or deletion of your personal information, and we will not treat you differently for doing so. As noted above, we do not sell or share personal information.

To make a request, email studio@ferrierarchitecture.studio. We may need to confirm your identity, and we will reply within one month.

“Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control

We do not track visitors over time or across other websites, so there is nothing to switch off: the website works the same way whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The website is served only over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access to its administration is restricted, and our email is protected by our provider’s security controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear on the website.
